Privacy Policy
RigLab tools run inside your browser. This page explains what stays on your device, what little reaches our server, and the choices you have.
Tests run on your device
Your clicks, keystrokes, controller input, microphone audio and camera video are processed on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. Benchmarks such as the CPU, GPU and RAM tests also run entirely in your browser.
Local storage
Some tools save personal bests, benchmark history, your light or dark mode choice and your selected country in your browser’s local storage or a small cookie. You can clear this at any time from your browser settings.
Network tests
The internet speed, ping and jitter tests transfer randomly generated data between your browser and this website’s server. The data carries no personal information and is discarded immediately.
Server logs
Like every website, our hosting provider records standard request logs such as IP address, browser and time of access. These are used for security and reliability and are deleted on a regular schedule.
Your rights
You can ask what information we hold about you and request its deletion through the contact page. Because tests run locally, we usually hold nothing beyond short-lived server logs.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date.
Frequently asked questions
Do you record my microphone or webcam?
No. Audio and video stay in your browser. Recordings you make in the microphone test are kept in memory and disappear when you leave the page.
Do you track my keystrokes?
No. Keyboard tests read key events only to display them to you. Nothing is sent anywhere.
What is stored in my browser?
Personal bests, benchmark history, your colour mode and your country choice. You can clear them in your browser settings.
Do you use cookies?
Only a small preference cookie for your selected country, and any cookies your site owner adds for analytics or advertising, which should be listed here.
Is the speed test data personal?
No. It is random data generated for the test and discarded immediately after.
Do you sell data?
No. We do not sell personal data.
How long are server logs kept?
Standard request logs are kept for a limited period for security and then deleted.
How can I contact you about privacy?
Use the contact page and mention privacy in your subject line.
